Buxton Books and Unbound Edition Press invite you to a very special evening with Atsuro Riley & Friends on Monday, October 9, 2023. Atsuro, a Guggenheim Foundation Fellow and a winner of the Award in Literature from the American Academy of Arts and Letters, will be joined by Unbound Edition Press authors Danielle Chapman and Jesse Nathan.

This evening will serve as a special launch for Chapman's memoir, Holler: A Poet Among Patriots, which has been called "as devastating as American history itself" by Ilya Kaminsky... and for Nathan's highly anticipated debut poetry collection, Eggtooth, which Katie Ford has called "one of the newborn wonders of the world." Joining this fabulous group onstage will be acclaimed poet and literary critic Peter Campion, Executive Editor of Unbound Edition Press.

This event will take place at the historic Unitarian Church in Charleston located at 4 Archdale Street. Doors for the event will open at 6:00 pm with the program beginning at 6:30 pm

The conversation will cover poetry arising from unexpected rural places and the complicated literary legacy of the South.

VIP ticket holders have access to an intimate pre-event gathering with the authors at Buxton Books, located across King Street from The Sanctuary. After the main program in The Sanctuary, we will invite all ticket holders to join us for refreshments, mingling, and book signings.

We are also excited to offer a virtual option for this event. For those that purchase this ticket type, we will send you the viewing link earlier in the day on October 9.

Booksellers will be on-site to sell books from all authors involved. Please note that this event is free for students and educators, but you must register for that ticket type at the ticketing link.
