Whether you’re an author (or are reaching out on behalf of one) who wants us to stock your book or host an event or you are interested in joining our staff, we are honored you want to work with Buxton Books. Find the resources you need below to submit your title stocking request, event proposal, or job application. Rest assured that once you hit submit, a human being is on the other end reviewing each submission. Because of this, we kindly ask for your patience and understanding in hearing back from us. Please also note that although we’d love to say yes to everything, we receive more submissions than we have the time, space, and bandwidth to accommodate. Regardless, we appreciate each and every request.
For Authors and Their Teams:
Want us to stock your book? Congratulations on such a huge accomplishment. We are excited to hear about it! (We are a small- though we’d like to think mighty- store with limited shelf space!)
Looking to host an event with Buxton Books? As an events-forward bookstore, we’d love to hear your pitch! We take pride in our robust event schedule and host all kinds of events- from book launches in the store supporting our local writing community to large off-site events working with our amazing partners on the Charleston peninsula. For Job Applicants:
Though we are a small, independent bookstore, sleepy we are not! We are open 7 days a week from 10:00 am - 9:30 pm, have on average 3-5 events a week, and operate daily (and nightly) walking tours. It takes a village for us keep up with all the amazing things we have going on, and there are many ways you could be part of that village.
