Dr. Sciubba will delve into the world of global population trends, exploring how we arrived at this point and where our trajectory is leading us. She debunks the common myths and misconceptions that often cloud our understanding of population dynamics. Discover how reading the world through a demographic perspective opens doors to fresh insights.

Dr. Sciubba is one of the world's foremost experts in demographic trends and their implications for politics, economics, and social relationships. She works to educate the public about population trends, and she advocates for policy-relevant research on fertility, mortality, and migration as the basis for investments we need today to shape the future we want tomorrow. 

Dr. Sciubba is affiliated with the Wilson Center and the Center for Strategic and International Studies in Washington, DC. Formerly a tenured professor in International Studies at Rhodes College, Sciubba has studied at the Max Planck Institute for Demographic Research in Rostock, Germany, and served as demographics policy consultant to the U.S. Office of the Secretary of Defense. She is a vice-chair of the board of the Population Reference Bureau. Dr. Sciubba received her Ph.D. and M.A. degrees from the University of Maryland and her B.A. from Agnes Scott College.
