About The Song of Everything:

Join Glenis Redmond, Greenville's first Poet Laureate, on a poetic journey through South Carolina's State Parks with The Song of Everything. Being diagnosed with cancer and amid COVID, she visits South Carolina's State Parks with her grandson, Julian, as a life-affirming act for both of them. This pocket-sized collection of poems explores the enduring connection between the natural world and our internal landscape. Her poetry invites everyone to rediscover the wonders of the world around us, the stories they have to tell, and the lessons they have to teach us.

About Glenis Redmond:

Glenis Redmond is the First Poet Laureate of Greenville, South Carolina. She is a 2023 Poet Laureate Fellow selected by the American Academy of Poets and has published six books of poetry. Glenis received the highest arts award in South Carolina, the Governor’s Award and was inducted into the South Carolina Academy of Authors in 2022. The Listening Skin was shortlisted for the Open Pen America Award and the Julie Suk award. She is a speaker for the U.S. Department of State's Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs (ECA) US and has presented in Muscat, Oman in 2016 and for students in Guatemala and El Salvador virtually for Juneteenth in 2023. Glenis is a mother of twin daughters Amber and Celeste. She is a Grandmother (Gaga) to Julian, Paisley and Quinn. Glenis believes poetry is the mouth that speaks when all other mouths are silent.

With a background in print design, Lib Ramos has spent her career designing for a variety of companies. Good Printed Things is a publishing company that began as a way to facilitate creativity and collaboration between writers, designers, artists, and makers. Lib believes Good Things happen when creative talents intersect and that tangible printed objects play an important role in our digital world.
