Buxton Books is excited to welcome children’s book author Dawn Burns to the bookstore for a signing celebrating her book, This is Charleston.
This is Charleston is a delightful love letter to the city, celebrating its traditions, landmarks, and even a few of Dawn’s favorite childhood spots. With its bright colors and easy-to-read pages, it’s the perfect book to read aloud or for early readers.

About Dawn Burns:
Dawn Burns is a South Carolina native, children’s book author, and all-around champion of community and storytelling. Her journey into storytelling began with “The Nashville Mom” blog and the “Nashville Book Club,” which later inspired her first book, This is Nashville. Now back in Charleston, she’s poured her love for the Lowcountry into her latest release, This is Charleston. It’s truly a love letter to the city, celebrating its traditions, landmarks, and even a few of her favorite childhood spots. With four books under her belt, her work continues to resonate with families and young readers.
